GlobalProtect How-To

Access to use the GlobalProtect client is restricted to only to specific use cases where alternative methods of access to a resource are infeasible or impractical. For access to on-campus resources, please use theĀ LSUS Virtual Lab.

  1. If you do not already have the GlobalProtect desktop application installed, visit https://vpn.lsus.edu. If you already have the client installed skip to step 5.
  2. Login to https://vpn.lsus.edu using your Single Sign-On credentials. If you are logging in as a guest of LSUS, you will login using your home institution/account credentials.
  3. After logging in, you will be prompted to download the GlobalProtect client installer. Select the version applicable to your PC to download the client installer.
  4. Run the downloaded MSI file to install the client on your PC.
  5. Once installed, open the GlobalProtect client.
  6. Windows 10/11: Click on the greyed-out globe icon in the Windows system tray. Screenshot below:



  7. Enter "vpn.lsus.edu" into the Portal field and click "Connect". Screenshot below:



  8. You will be prompted to login. Login using your Single Sign-On credentials. If you are logging in as a guest of LSUS, you will login using your home institution/account credentials. Screenshot below:



  9. You should now be authenticated and connected to the LSUS GlobalProtect VPN client.
